Another win for tracey hannah // max brandl in second

After a fifteen year break, the World Cup circuit returned to Les Gets, France for another double round. XC and DH racers came straight from Andorra to the French Alps and found themselves preparing for another dry and fast weekend of racing. The downhill track was soon to be a rider’s favorite, old school, fast and technical. The younger generations were familiar with the track from the previous Crankworx rounds. Veterans like Mick Hannah were already used to the track from racing it back in 2004 when the World Champs were hosted in Les Gets.

Tracey Hannah had a tough start with a few crashes before she bounced back to win qualifying. Since the times were tight, this was both a confidence booster and added pressure!

Nevertheless, she followed up her quali-success by winning the finals and scooping up more points as the world cup leader! Jack Reading also had another consistent weekend finishing the race in 27th after taking 34th in qualifying.

The successful downhill racing was then followed by the cross-country athletes battling it out on Sunday. Lexware Mountain Bike team riders pulled it off with Luca Schwarzbauer and Georg Egger riding across the finish line in 20th and 25th place respectively. Max Brandl got one step closer to the Olympics by reaching the A-norm, finishing 2nd in the under 23s. What a performance!
