At the fifth round of the crosscountry worldcup in Mont Sainte-Anne, Julie Bresset showed that she is back after breaking her collarbone in spring:
The young French phenomenon took the lead early on in the women's race and only faded late, getting passed by Katerina Nash, Maja Wloszczowska and Tanja Zakelj to finish in fourth. With three weeks to go to the world championships held in South Africa, Bresset looks to be on track to return to the form that made her win last year's world championships as well as the Olympic race.
In the men's race, Bresset's team mate Stéphane Tempier added another top10 finish to his tally by crossing the line in 7th whereas Maxime Marotte finished in 13th. Spaniard Pablo Rodriguez Guede finished the under23 race in Mont Sainte-Anne in 15th while Belgian Ruben Scheire of the Team Feenstra Felt powered by Kenda scored his first top10 finish of the season with an 8th place.
